Domestication of dogs

The biological origin of dogs can be traced back to tens of millions of years ago. The history of domestication of dogs is about 15 thousand years ago in the Middle Stone Age. Some scientists even argued from the perspective of genetics that it may be as early as 100,000 years ago. Before, dogs had been domesticated by humans. Humans first deciphered the dog's genome in 2005-even before researchers used genetic tools to track the earliest homes of dogs. Earlier studies found high diversity of canine genes in East Asia and other key markers in many rural dog populations. They therefore pointed out that East Asia was the earliest place where dogs were domesticated by humans. [5]

Researchers at the University of Arizona have unearthed two dog skulls dating back at least 33,000 years from Belgium and Siberia, respectively, suggesting that dogs have been tamed by humans since ancient times
